I am happy to announce that I have been nominated for the Versatile Blogger Award by two different blogs!
I’d like to thank both Kati and Eryn for reading my blog and nominating me for this award. When the blog was nominated for these type of blogging awards, I had to look them up to understand what they were. I saw a number of people down play them for various reasons. That is a huge mistake. I am truly honored to be nominated for these awards. As I have said previously, the greatest honor one can receive is to be recognized by their peers. There are a zillion blogs (if not more) out there, and for someone to recognize my work as one of their favorites and encourage others to read it is truly humbling.
I’d encourage all of my readers to check out The Ripple’s Edge which features drawings, poetry, and thought provoking anecdotes. Please also check out Drunken World. This blog is new to me but features comical musings about the absurdity of life and its happenings and mishappenings! Eryn has another blog I follow called Come on Be Happy that everyone should check out.
The stipulations for accepting the award are as follows:
1. Show the award on your blog.
2. Thank the person who nominated you.
3. Share seven facts about yourself.
4. Nominate 15 blogs.
5. Link your nominee’s blogs & let them know.
Okay, so here are seven facts about me!
1. My favorite red wine is Malbec, specifically from Argentina.
2. My favorite white wine is Chenin Blanc, specifically from France.
3. There are few things better in the world than a sunset.
4. I don’t like winter.
5. I’m my own worst critic.
6. I’m not sure if I could make it through the day without my Ipod.
7. I’ve accepted that I have a mild form of obsessive compulsive disorder.
Here are the blogs I nominate. I would encourage each of you check them out.
The Darkest Raven – This blog features wonderful pieces of poetry. It is one of my favorites.
The Daily Travesty – The catch phrase of this blog is “Bad Poetry on Purpose.” The poems are hilarious and very witty!
Setting the Stage – Kayla chronicles her adventures in theatre as well as living in Chicago.
Desert Rose in Bloom – This blog features perspective through Faith. I personally feel the real hidden gem of this blog is the chronicles of the unconditional love between Emily and her son. It is truly uplifting.
Beautiful Bliss – A new blog to me. It features wonderful pieces of poetry.
The Happy Depressive – This blog features a little bit of everything.
A Space Within – I actually found this blog through Chelsea at Time is No Enemy (a blog I recently nominated for the Liebster Award). I love this blog. It features uplifting and thought-provoking quotes as well as pieces of perspective.
Brilliant Buckets – Another blog I found through Chelsea at Time is No Enemy. Gabriele’s blog is truly in a category of its own. It features musings, life ancedotes, inspiration, and even some baking!
Writing and Poetry by Christina Strigas – Chrissy writes amazing poems. What mesmerizes me is that the pieces are so long but flow so beautifully!
Bowker House Photography – Simply amazing photos. This group is able to work magic with the camera. I am always excited when I see a post from them!
Message in a Bottle – Wonderful poetry on this blog!
Reject Reality – Awesome poetry on this blog! It is very inspiring to me!
Annie’s Poetry Blog – I really like Annie’s work. She does something unique that she calls Micropoetry. You will have to go to her site to check it out! 🙂
Busy Mind Thinking – Another new blog to me. This blog features poetry that really resonates with me.
Feminine and Feline – One of my most active followers! This blog features quotations and random musings. I literally never know what will be posted here!
I hope that each of these writers will accept my nomination! Regardless, I would encourage each of you to check out their works. The real magic of these awards is it helps bring people together and discover new writers. As you can see, it has already worked as I have become a follower of a few of these blogs through finding them through the award process.
Thank you again for the nominations and thank you to all my readers and followers. Your interactions and input are truly what makes this blog work!
