Liquid Courage

She twists and turns,

Right across the floor,

The way she moves her hips,

It’s something I adore.

I want to walk over,

Take her by the hand,

Tell her she’s beautiful,

Let her know I’d like to be her man.

The smile she flashes,

As she dances so free,

Though intended for no one,

I pretend it is meant for me.

In light of it all,

It’s such a shame,

With a little more liquid courage,

I might find the fortitude to go and ask her name.
