Inspired by reading Paul Stanley’s book, “Face the Music,” an incredible read that describes an amazing journey through introspection and lessons learned. The name of my piece is taken from the first song of the album  “Asylum” released in 1985 by KISS.

Uptown,

Downtown,

Moving all around,

Moving so fast,

Feet barely touched the ground,

Fast cars,

Faster women,

Big dreams,

King of the local bars,

Gonna make it large,

Gonna be a star,

Gonna make it in this scene,

Coming to your town,

Whether near or far,

You’re going to remember my name,

When you dance to the rhythm,

Your life painted with my songs,

Raising our hands high,

Many standing in unity,

Connection over confection,

We made the world ours!
