I’m Not Going to Spend The Money in Tequila I Would Need To Drink You Away

I visited the local Mexican joint on the corner of my street tonight because I spent a good portion of my day cleaning my kitchen and washing dishes. Thus, I didn’t want to have to cook and clean up again.

Table for One – and I am seated next to a family with young children. The little boy, who I am guessing is in the eight to ten range, is clearly the star of the family as well as the mouthpiece. He had an opinion on just about everything including some where they weren’t necessarily asked for.

After much rambling, the father countered with this, “I’m not going to spend the money in tequila I would need to drink you away,” which elicited an audible laugh from me.

The little boy countered with this:

“So, I read in the Bible that Moses lied to someone. I don’t remember who he lied to. I don’t remember what he lied about. But he lied. Wait a minute. Maybe it wasn’t Moses who lied. I can’t remember now. But, someone lied.”

Silence.

Bring on the Tequila. Make it a double!

  1. haha that sounds like an exhausting, but entertaining child! But definitely a comical relief to sit next to!
