Love knows no bounds,
Simply limited by the human condition,
Why are we afraid?
Living by antiquated rules,
Times long ago,
Proving attitudes can change,
Up to each of us,
Erase the hate,
Teach a better way,
Let go of insecurities,
Unfounded fears,
For a better day,
On June twenty-sixth,
We woke up today.
For my foreign readers, today, in the United States of America, the Supreme Court, which is the highest ruling court in our country that sets federal law, has ruled that homosexual couples are allowed to marry and have the same rights as heterosexual couples in every state in our union. It is long fought victory for individuals that desired those rights.
